Kelechi Iheanacho thirtieth-minute stunner was enough to seal victory for the Super Eagles.
The match which was slated as the biggest game of the Group D heavyweights clash of the Africa Cup of Nations so far took place in Garoua.
All eyes were on Egypt’s talisman, Mohamed Salah, to see if he could replicate his sensational Liverpool form onto the major tournament stage who were ousted by South Africa in the round of 16 on home soil back in 2019.
