ECOWAS COMMISSION IS SET TO EMBRACE NEW MANAGEMENT.

The Economic Community of West African State Commission will be receiving new management who will work for the period of four years in promoting the founding father’s vision for a united community.

A statement signed by the head of the communication to the commission Salett Nogueira on 12th July 2022, reviewed that the change of Management is due to the end of the tenure of the current Management led by H.E. Jean-Claude Kassi Brou after four years as the president of the ECOWAS Commission.

She noted that President Brou will be handing over to a new Management that will be led by Dr. Omar Alieu Touray from The Gambia, on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at the ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria.

“Other Statutory appointees heading ECOWAS Institutions will also be assuming office tomorrow.

The new Statutory appointees were named at the just concluded 61st Ordinary Session of the Authority of ECOWAS Heads of State and Government in Accra on July 3, 2022. They will serve for a period of four years.

ECOWAS will be moving from a Fifteen-man Commission to a Seven-man Commission with the New Management.” The statement ended.
