To kickstart the 2022 World Cup opening ceremony in Doha Qatar, the United Nations office in Nigeria staged a walk as part of its mantra of sport for health aimed at enhancing societal well-being.

The event which had a ten-kilometer walk is part of the World Health Organization’s Unique partnership with the International Federation of Association Football and the Ministry of Public Health Qatar.

Speaking on the theme “Walk The Talk” on Saturday at the UN House in the nation’s capital, WHO country representative Dr. Walter Mulombo said the essence is to advocate for a healthier living after the Covid-19 pandemic so as to promote peace and development for sustainable economic growth.
