In line with the objective of the ECOWAS Commission’s President Dr. Omar Alieu Touray, a meeting of the heads of ECOWAS institutions has been convened to boost commitment towards the set goal for the year 2023.
The meeting was instituted virtually less than eight months after Dr. Alieu’s assumption of office as the Commission’s President.
Aimed at fostering the realization of the four strategic objectives of his administration, while setting a mandate on every institution with their strategic objectives and budget execution for the years ahead.
A statement by the communication specialist Salett Nogueira on 16th January 2023 said “At the end of the meeting, the Heads of ECOWAS Institutions come to an agreed on the improvement of the various strategic areas which will accelerate the realization of the 4×4 objectives while assuring the President of their support and cooperation in enhancing reporting system and budget performance.”
