Groups working on behalf of the European Union Support to Democratic Governance in Nigeria have expressed worries about the effect of the economic policies on citizens particularly as the 2023 general election is a few days away.
They expressed their worries at a media and CSO round table on the 2023 general elections with the theme: Avoiding Landmines, Overcoming Obstacles, and Conducting Credible Elections on Tuesday in Abuja.
The Executive Director of the International Press Council of Nigeria, Lanre Arogundade said there is a need to readdress the nation’s economic policies and terminate hardships that are currently ravaging the nation to guarantee citizens’ participation on election day.
