PARTY AGENTS LAMENTED THE PROCESS OF COLLATING RESULTS, URGED INEC TO ADHERE TO THE ELECTORAL ACT

Party agents for the 2023 general election serving at the collation centers have urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to adhere to the electoral Act to boost credibility in the process.
The People’s Democratic Party agent, Sen. Dino Melaye gave the today shortly after the presentation of presidential results by the state collation officers for Osun, Kwara, and Ondo states respectively at the national collation center in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital.
He said Prof. Mahmood Yakubu’s led administration has over time assured Nigerians that election results will be transmitted directly from the Polling Unit to the server, hence, the commission has failed in this regard.
Melaye, therefore, appealed to the commission to present the uploaded results to ensure transparency
