The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Bola Tinubu has been declared winner of the 2023 presidential election as he dusts his close rival Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) with 1,810,206.
Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu made the declaration after three days of collating the general election results from the 36 states and the FCT. At the National Collation Centre in the nation’s capital.
He said having met the whole requirements for the Presidential election with total votes of 8, 794,726, Bola Tinubu is now the President-elect of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The President elect will be given a certificate of return today at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
