The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Parliament, is seeking better ways to address communication barriers across the region.

Members of the Parliamentarians say seamless networking could address lingering mobile roaming and its tariffs which hinder the common goal of regional Integration.

At the opening of the Delocalised Meeting of the Joint Committee on Telecommunications and Information Technology/Education, Science and Culture/Trade Customs and Free Movement organized by the ECOWAS Parliament in Niamey, Niger Republic, Speaker of the Sidie Mohamed Tunis, said the use of digital technologies cannot be overemphasized, hence its potentials to building regional economic bloc are unquantifiable.
