INEC URGED PARTY SUPPORTERS TO REFRAIN FROM VIOLENCE AHEAD OF MARCH 18TH ELECTION

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu has urged party supporters to refrain totally from any act that may ignite violence ahead of the Governorship and state assembly election in the country.
He made the call at a meeting with Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security today in Abuja.
Mahmood said the state assembly and governorship election is large and wouldn’t want any activity that will undermine the process, hence appealing for well-guided utterances among parties and their candidates.
