The Department of State Services (DSS) had issued an invitation to enable proper investigation into activities concerning him.
A statement signed by the service Public Relations Officer Dr. Peter Afunanya on the 14th of June 2023 revealed that “Mr. Abdulrasheed Bawa, the suspended Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Bawa arrived a few hours ago. “The invitation relates to some investigative activities concerning him.” The statement ended.
