The President of the Association of Foreign Relations Professionals of Nigeria Ambassador Gani Lawal has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to appoint a minister who has a diplomatic record as minister of foreign affairs to ensure that the nation’s foreign policies are well crafted and implemented before the international community.
He made the call at a pre-event press briefing ahead of its fifth annual lecture in Abuja.
The Ambassador stressed that the Nigerian foreign policy should be able to highlight its wants and does not want for the interests of the citizens, and urged Mr. President to look inwardly into the Association of Foreign Relations Professionals of Nigeria (AFRPN).
As the association has a society of foreign relations experts both serving and retired careers who are fit in for the purpose.
