The global drug scourge has called for urgent attention as experts set to chart a new way of curbing the menace across Africa.
Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Mohammed Marwa made this known on Tuesday at a joint press briefing in Abuja.
He said Delegates from fifty-four African countries and fifteen Observer Nations will next week converge in Abuja to discuss the new trends of drugs ravaging the region.
Marwa represented by the agency’s Secretary, Shadrach Haruna revealed that the conference will enable heads of drug law enforcement agencies in Africa to develop strategies for combatting drug trafficking and abuse in the region.
