ASSURES OF CURBING EXPLOSION, AMBUSHES, SURPRISE ATTACK ON TROOPS

The Army Headquarters, Department of Army Training (DAT) has activated a two-week-long training module for its personnel to enable first-hand knowledge of the newly acquired NA TARES Mines Protective Vehicles (MPV). to deal with contemporary security challenges.

The training commenced today Monday, 25 September 2023 to enhance operational effectiveness across the country.

While declaring the training open at the Headquarters Guards Brigade Auditorium in Abuja, the Chief of Training Army, Major General Sani Muhammed represented by the Director of Training at the DAT, Brigadier General Olushola Diya said the training is apt considering the newly acquired TARES MPV by the Nigerian Army.

According to him, such equipment will aid operations against insurgency and also protect troops from explosions, ambushes, and surprise attacks.

Major General Sani Muhammed urged the participants to take advantage of the training to acquire knowledge on modern equipment for knowledge sharing across formations.

Adding that, the training seeks to align with the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Command Philosophy, which is to Transform the Nigerian Army into a Well-trained, Equipped and Highly Motivated Force Towards Achieving our Constitutional Responsibilities within a Joint EnvironmenT.

Participants were drawn from various Army units and formations across the country
