TINUBU CALLS FOR URGENCY TO CRUSH ILLICIT DRUG ACROSS AFRICAN COUNTRIES

SAYS THE TIME IS NOW TO END ITS CULTIVATION THROUGH PARTNERSHIPS

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu has urged heads of national drug law enforcement agencies in Africa to scale up the fight against substance abuse and illicit drug trafficking to surmount its consequences on the citizens.

He made the call on Tuesday while declaring open the 31st meeting of the Heads of National Drug Law Enforcement Agencies, Africa (HONLAF) in Abuja.

President Tinubu while commending the leaders for their giant strides in the nailing of some drug lords in their respective countries, said that the drug fight requires the needed partnerships to dismantle criminal enterprises that threaten the future of all Africans
