URGE ECOWAS TO MONITOR POLITICAL, ECONOMIC INDICES

Experts say monitoring of political and economic indices will tackle the lingering political crisis and unconstitutional change of power across the Economic Community of West African States.

In a Presentation at the ongoing high-level Parliamentary Seminar on “The Challenges of Unconstitutional Regime Change And Presidential Term Limits In West Africa – Role Of The ECOWAS Parliament, in Winneba, Ghana.

Noted the implication of not monitoring regional economic indices, thus urging the leaders to institute such policy to promote early warning signals for threat prevention.

According to them, the region had over the years established automatic mechanisms for getting money from all its countries, hence going in that direction to review the political architecture should be judiciously dealt with for democracy to drive.
