HARPS ON DATA COLLECTION TO ADDRESS MULTIPLE FACTORS AFFECTING ADOLESCENTS’ HEALTHCARE

The federal government of Nigeria has expressed determination to improve the well-being of young people, saying healthcare provision for adolescents is one key strategy of the present administration’s national development plan.

The Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare Prof. Muhammad Pate made this known at the National Event of the Global Forum for Adolescents on Thursday in Abuja.

He said the Nigerian government recognizes the need to address multiple factors affecting the adolescent population, noting that data collection will enhance understanding of issues and tackle them appropriately for a healthier future generation.
