The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris has charged the newly elected officials of the Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) to promote President Tinubu’s 8-point agenda to improve the country’s image for the assurance of peace and development.
He made the call on Thursday, October 12, 2023, during a courtesy visit paid by members of the NIPR board at his office in Abuja.
In a statement signed by the Deputy Director, Press Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation Suleiman Haruna on 12, October 2023 revealed that the minister is also a fellow of the Institute, even as he expressed his unalloyed support to the board.
Stressing that, in line with the present administration’s agenda, the ministry will partner with all institutions and stakeholders for result-driven.

On his part, the president and chairman of the governing council of NIPR, Dr. Ike Neliaku, while briefing the minister on its planned activities vowed to collaborate with the ministry through a national campaign for the rebirth of Nigeria, focusing on three key areas such as citizen education and value reorientation; a return to made-in-Nigeria goods; and service delivery excellence, for nation building.
The minister, however, promised to inaugurate the new NIPR board members for smooth and effective implementation of its planned activities.
