UK, EU REJECTS 68 NIGERIA’S FOOD PRODUCTS OVER NON-COMPLIANCE TO REGULATORY GUIDELINES – NAFDAC

CHARGE EXPORTERS ON STANDARDIZATION, PRODUCT PROCESSING CERTIFICATIONS TO AVOID REJECTION

As part of measures to ensure economic realization, the National Agency For Food and Drugs Administration and Control NAFDAC has appealed to Nigerian exporters to abide by the trading regulations and obtain all necessary certifications for processing their products to eliminate issues of rejection outside their mother country.

NAFDAC Director General Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye appealed at a joint press briefing on Tuesday in Abuja.

She said the issue of rejecting products from Nigeria by the United Kingdom and European Union is based on the non-compliance of exporters to meet the standard operating procedures of countries receiving the product and stressed the importance of complying with the advisory guidelines established by NAFDAC to surmount challenges of exportation for a smooth goods and service delivery.
