The Tiv Sons and Daughters have called on the general public to generously attend and support its fundraising event slated for November 4 2023 ahead of its main annual festival for 26 – 27 December 2023 in the state.
A statement signed by Yimave Gyanggyang Chair of the Fundraising Committee appealed on 31st October 2023.
He said the events aim to raise funds to cover the festival activities and also to formally unveil the festival’s theme and showcase the business prospects of the festival to the corporate world.
The ceremony will be held on November 4, 2023, at the African Heritage Square, Celina Ayom Street, along Kado-Gwarimpa Express Way, Jahi, Abuja. The event will feature performing artists,
games, Tiv cuisines (especially Kyegh Sha Shwa), endorsements, sponsorship deals, and lots more.
The Kyegh Sha Shwa Cultural Festival is an initiative conceived and organized by the Tiv sons and daughters who are motivated by the need to engender the sustainability of Tiv cultural values of unity, communality, reconciliation, harmony, hospitality, and love amongst the people to enhance the collective advancement of the Tiv nation
The festival is organized annually every December aimed at bringing the Tiv people from far and near for tourism-based orientation physically or virtually.
Speaking on the 2023 theme “Tiv Folklore: Separating Facts from Fiction,” Yimave said that.
