The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Rev. Yakubu Pam has said that the Christian pilgrimage has flourished under his leadership despite obstacles and the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Rev. Pam disclosed this while receiving delegations from the Public Complaints Commission in his office in Abuja.

In a statement signed by the Deputy Director/ Head Media and Public Relations, Celestine Toruka on Saturday, 4th November 2023 said Pam’s administration has been faced with challenges since his assumption of office in 2020 which was at the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, and with addition to other challenges which were both internal and external.

Despite all the challenges, his administration has spent over three years in the saddle and has conducted six Pilgrimage operations successfully

Speaking earlier, the Chief Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission, Hon.Abimbola Ayo-Yusuf while applauding the Executive Secretary for his continuous engagement towards ensuring the adherence to the civil service rules vowed to restore standards to practice for service delivery.

Stressing that the visit is aimed at collaborating with the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission to reduce the avalanche of complaints from members of the public and ensure transparency, good governance, and accountability in government activities.

This goes to show that the government’s desire to improve service delivery in the public service has come a long way with the establishment of the Public Complaints Commission

The NCPC boss thanked his guests for their support and commended them for the little efforts he had made in the commission.
