To meet the current dilapidated health structure the federal government has said that it will increase its financial commitments across institutions of learning in the country.
 
The Minister of State for Health & Social Welfare,  Dr. Tunji Alausa disclosed Enugu state during an oversight function and the official commissioning of the Ultra-modern Projects at Federal College of Dental Technology & Therapy, Enugu.
He said the government’s  determination  to meet its four-point agenda on Governance in Healthcare, Unlocking the Value Chain of the Healthcare Sector, Health, and Social Security, and the Health Population cannot be overemphasized
 
Attributing that the success of health care delivery is the well-being of any society, prompting the focus of this administration to its health drive action.
Earlier, the College Rector Prof. John Emaimo commended the federal government for the financial support provided for the college projects and appealed for more commitment to address some challenges facing the institution.
 
A statement by Patricia Deworitshe, Director information of the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare on 25th November 2023 revealed that the projects, Commissioned by the Hon. Minister at the College include:
 

* TWO-IN-ONE LECTURE ROOM

* BIOMEDICAL  RESEARCH CENTRE.

* CENTRE FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP  DEVELOPMENT. (CED)

* MEDICAL  CENTRE EXTENSION.

* RECTOR’S LODGE

* ONE-STOREY CLASSROOM BLOCK.

* LAWN TENNIS COURT. AMONG OTHERS.
