2024 PILGRIMAGE: DELEGATION TO MAKE HOTEL RECOMMENDATIONS IN ROME – NCPC BOSS

AS THEY DEPART TO GREECE TODAY FOR CONTINUOUS INSPECTION

The Executive Secretary Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) Rev Yakubu Pam has reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that Nigerians’ welfare is not compromised during their pilgrimage at any given time.
He asserted this on Tuesday, 19th December 2023 on an inspection tour for hotel selections in Rome for Pilgrim’s accommodation in the forthcoming 2024 Pilgrimage exercise.

20th December 2023 revealed that in a bid to ensure all concerns raised by Nigerians are addressed, the Executive Secretary together with state leaders embarked on the tour to Rome and Greece to carefully look out for a conducive environment that will aid the pilgrimage’s dedication to achieve their desire in the holy land.
As part of its strategic plan for the 2023 Main Pilgrimage exercise slated for early next year, Rev. Pam urged them to carefully look out for a good hall where pilgrims would have the opportunity to pray together within the hotel, good facilities in the room, logistics, amongst others should be considered.
Affirmed that the Commission would not compromise on the welfare of any Nigerian pilgrims, hence the need to ensure that all concerns raised for the forthcoming Main Pilgrimage exercise in Rome and Greece early next year are timely addressed ahead of the commencement of the Pilgrimage exercise.
The delegation also visited St. Peter’s Basilica, Vatican City,  the most important holy site in the Vatican, and Rome, at the end of the inspection tour of the hotels, they would deliberate on their findings and make recommendations while in Athens, as they depart for Greece today Wednesday, 20th December, 2023 for continuous inspection tour to holy sites and hotels in Greece.
