SEEKS GREATER INCLUSION OF WOMEN IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
Globally, women are expected to be treated equally to men, but this is not aligned in Nigeria due to cultural barriers from different regions.
Going by the nation’s economic downturn, citizens are beginning to see the representation gaps in the women folk as it’s currently not meeting the 35 percent affirmative action.
However, this year 2024 International Women’s Day with its theme ‘Inspire Inclusion: Empowering Grassroots Women, Bridging Gaps, Building Futures.’ is aimed at ensuring women’s empowerment for economic and social development.
