In Nigeria, the majority of Journalists particularly in the Federal Capital Territory are saddled with short-sightedness owing to the constant use of phones and laptops to meet news deadlines.
This situation has often subjected practitioners to the use of medicated glasses while others resort to different strategies ranging from boldening their font sizes to enabling them to work effectively.
The need to save female journalists in the FCT from these problems prompted the intervention of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ) as one of its packages for the commemoration of International Women’s Day to boost the healthcare of members in the country.
