NCPC BOSS PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO THE FAMILY OF LATE ABUJA JOURNALIST, ALBERT AKOTA

The Executive Secretary Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has paid a condolence visit to the family of late Abuja Journalist, Albert Akota at his Mpape residence in Abuja, on Thursday,21st March 2024.

Adegbite arrived at the residence of the late Mr. Akota with his entourage at exactly 2:17 pm and was received by the widow of the deceased, Mrs. Holiness Akoka, his three children, and family members.

A statement by Celestine Toruka, Head Media and Public Relations on 21st March 2024 revealed that the NCPC boss while consoling and comforting the family said,

God would never abandon the family, and would not leave them alone.
The Commission would support her to go on a pilgrimage to Israel in the next pilgrimage exercise as a fulfillment of the long-life ambition of her late husband, which he was not able to actualize before the cold hands of death took him away.
May the Lord grant his soul eternal rest.

He further assured her that the Commission would provide educational support for the three children of the late astute Journalist and also enroll them in his family foundation program for financial support annually.
The late Albert Akota died on the 16th of March 2024 after a brief illness and has covered the Commission for over five years until his demise. 

He was a reporter with the people’s daily newspaper, Abuja, and among the Journalists who covered the first assumption of office of the 4th Substantive Executive Secretary of NCPC, Bishop Stephen Adegbite.
