The Department of State Services, DSS, has charged Nigerians to live a Christ-like life in their daily affairs to uphold unity and tolerance in the country.
The Director General, Management, and Staff of the DSS made the call while felicitating with Christian faithful on the celebration of Easter on Friday, 29th March 2024 in a statement signed by the Director, PR and Strategic
Communications, Department of State Services, National Headquarters, Abuja, Dr Peter Afunanya.
He said the Easter celebration presents an opportunity to sacrifice and tender forgiveness and love for one another, the nation, and humanity at large.
And urged celebrants to restrain from illicit drugs, and excessive alcoholism during this period as well as be vigilant to report any suspicious activity via the DSS website @ www.dss.gov.ng; email address- dsspr@dss.gov.ng and telephone lines +234915 339 1309; +234 908 837 3514.
The Service enjoins them to eschew bitterness, disloyalty, fake news, hate speech, and violence.

They are, therefore, implored to renew their commitment to the peace, and unity of Nigeria and work towards her inclusiveness.

Reject all forms of bigotry and other social vices during the ceremony.

Consequent upon these, everyone is urged to be vigilant and report attempts to breach security to relevant law enforcement agencies.
