The Executive Secretary Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has reiterates it’s stand to zero tolerance on abscondment of pilgrims during Pilgrimage.
He made this disclosure in Abuja on Tuesday, 9th April, 2024 during an apostolic visit to the corporate headquarters of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, by the Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr Oliver Aba and his apostolic team of Clergy.
Abscondment is on zero tolerance, we have told ourselves.Anyone find culpable will be sincerely dealt with.
We will do everything within our part to ensure that we have a wonderful Pilgrimage experience for our pilgrims.
Bishop Adegbite while emphasizing that Pilgrimage is not a jamboree, but a spiritual exercise, averred the team of his vision as it aligned with Mr President’s Renewed Hope Agenda, and remained resolute that God will not let the commission down.
He reassured the Methodists that beyond pilgrimage; the Commission should serve as a veritable platform to foster peace and unity in Nigeria.
Earlier, the Prelate of the Methodist Church Nigeria, His Eminence, Dr Oliver Aba while congratulating the ES for his well deserved appointment urges the NCPC boss to bring his rich wealth of experience to bear to transform the entire Christian Pilgrimage in Nigeria and ensure that abscondment of pilgrims during Pilgrimage is dealt with holistically to avoid tarnishing the image of the country.
As a Methodist man, you will do your work methodically, do not let us down, in your time NCPC will wax stronger and at the end, NCPC will be better than you met it.
