AMID NATIONAL HARDSHIPS, NCPC BOSS APPEALS FOR PEACE, PATIENCE

By Vincess Okushi

The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, Bishop Stephen Adegbite has called on citizens to seek peace and allow the government to implement its desires for good governance and accountability.

He made the call in a statement signed by the commission’s head of media and public relations on 27th July 2024.

The Executive Secretary said amidst the rising waves of fuel price surges, exchange rates, and the escalating cost of living, there is a need to embrace peace and appeal for resilience to surmount these daunting challenges.

Our President is working relentlessly to navigate us through this storm. Efforts are being made, with palliatives rolling out across the states, aimed at easing our collective burden. While a nationwide protest is planned, I implore everyone to reconsider and seek more constructive ways to voice our concerns.

Imagine Nigeria as a ship caught in a fierce storm. To weather this tempest, we must steer with care and unity, not drive ourselves onto the rocks of chaos and unrest. Let’s engage in meaningful dialogue, offer constructive criticism, and work hand in hand to find lasting solutions for our nation’s challenges.

I call upon all Nigerians to keep faith, and continue praying for our beloved country, and for our leaders, especially our President, to be blessed with wisdom and fortitude. Together, let us walk the path of peace, patience, and perseverance, striving to build a brighter, better Nigeria.
