POWA President Pledges Brighter Future For Police Families

Move To Launch Welfare Projects in Imo, Abia States

The Police Officers’ Wives Association (POWA) is ushering in 2025 with a renewed focus on the welfare of police widows and orphans. 

Dr. (Mrs.) Elizabeth Egbetokun, POWA’s President, during a strategic meeting in Abuja on January 15, 2025, pledged to expand support initiatives and empower families of fallen officers.

We are committed to ensuring that no police widow or orphan feels neglected. Egbetokun declared 

She emphasized the need for sustainable programs to benefit police families across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones.

To kickstart her commitment, Egbetokun will embark on familiarization tours to Imo and Abia State Police Commands beginning January 16. 

During the visits, she plans to launch welfare projects aimed at improving the living conditions of police wives and widows, while strengthening ties with stakeholders.

The POWA President also revealed plans for interactive sessions with local members and beneficiaries to address their concerns and chart a course for their well-being.

Together, we can overcome these challenges and create a brighter future for our families. she affirmed.

As POWA doubles down on its mission, these initiatives reflect a promising year ahead for police families and vulnerable members of the force’s community.
