The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Stephen Adegbite, has paid a heartfelt condolence visit to the widow of the late Jerusalem Pilgrim, Pastor Magistrate Olasanmi Ogunkanmi, at their Ikorodu residence in Lagos.
During the visit on Friday, January 17, 2025, Bishop Adegbite expressed deep sympathy and urged Mrs. Ogunkanmi to take solace in God’s divine plan, assuring her that her husband’s passing was a transition to eternal rest.

Highlighting the legacy he left behind, Bishop Adegbite pledges NCPC’s full support to the bereaved family in ensuring a befitting farewell for Ogunkanmi, who passed away peacefully in his sleep on the very night he returned from his sacred pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
Late Magistrate Ogunkanmi was part of the first batch of Lagos pilgrims who embarked on the spiritual journey on January 1, 2025.
He was filled with joy and fulfilment upon his return before being called to eternal glory.
The funeral rites will commence with a Service of Songs on February 6, 2025, followed by his burial on February 7 in Lagos.
